Valerie Blanchard is the owner, founder, and head designer of Paradise Bikini. The concept behind Paradise Bikini was to create a bikini that would make a woman stand out from the crowd. Valerie always loved to rhinestone her own bikinis and turned her hobby into an emerging bikini company.
Valerie Blanchard was born and raised in New Jersey. Growing up, her family referred to her as “Sparkle Plenty” because she loved anything that had sparkles on it- from clothes, to jewelry, to Barbie dolls. Throughout her life Valerie maintained an attraction to arts and crafts. Commonly perusing craft stores to purchase embellishments for her clothes, Valerie especially loved working with rhinestones. She began to add rhinestones to her own bikinis and received many compliments. Her friend’s asked her to rhinestone their bikinis, and after numerous rave reviews, Valerie’s friends and family encouraged her to start her own bikini line that specialized in sparkle bikinis.
Val was a teacher in an elementary school, and taught dance after school hours. One of her ballet students came to class one day wearing ballet shoes that the child’s mother made. This struck Valerie’s attention and she asked Ms. Veronica Clark if she would be interested in putting together a bikini with the fabric Valerie gave her. The next day Veronica had completed the bikini, and that night Valerie rhinestoned it. Valerie gained a seamstress over night, and even with a twenty-year age gap between Valerie and Veronica, they instantly clicked and bikinis quickly became their focus. Val has an MBA in Entrepreneurship and a Masters in Communications, and with that background, Paradise Bikini was born. Paradise Bikini has quickly turned into an explosive success
