Eve is a New York native and has been crocheting for over 25 years. She has never lost her passion for it and says "I show my passion for this art through my unique, one of a kind design. I use high quality yarns and think of every detail to only display items that I am absolutely proud of. I don’t duplicate anything and I think of every design like a blank canvas waiting to be filled with colors of details, combined to make a wonderful piece of art. I always ask my fans and models for feedback on my pieces. You may look at my work and say ‘wow that is a lot of work and time’ but all I see is amazing art.  PRINT FABRIC'S !

 

The warmer the weather, the brighter the colors your wearing should be. A big trend that always seems to be in style during the spring and summer season is always print fabrics, whether it's tie-die, floral print, or even animal print. Print fabircs can go in one of two ways, either be a fashion disaster or pleasantly pleasing, depending on how you wear it. The key to pulling this look off is to Find out how to wear it right, and what to wear it with. Though it seems as if it comes in and out of style, it’s always in and always highly popular.

    

Like with anything that you try to do,DON'T OVER DO IT !These wild prints can create attention anywhere you go. So going overboard won't make you more fashionable. Always remember, less can be more in many cases because there is such a thing as too much print people. Just remember, when choosing how to wear print fabrics, regardless of which type you choose, keep the look true to yourself. Don't try and do something that you saw looked good on someone else.

 Print fabrics, whether its animal, tie-die, floral, prints using wax, bleached print fabrics, or roller prints, can look great on anyone. The way you wear it can be as unique as you want it to be, chic as you can imagine or it can be as sassy as you are. It just depends on what you put with it and how you wear it. Don't be afraid to try new things.

Are you looking for sexy summer swimwear? Check out Mirame Swimwear, one out of many collections that will appear in the 2011 Swimwear Passion for Fashion showcase

"Mirame is a swimsuit collection that pays homage to ancestry.   My love of fashion was born out of my family lineage", the designer states, while talking about her amazing line of swimwear.

The debut collection tells the story of the strength within and lineage between women. I wanted to offer women a way to dress that played with the concept of Conceal and Reveal. The collection is powerful and sexy without being overt.   Blocks of color camouflage the flesh while flashes of nude and muted mesh shape the areas in between.  This allows a woman to show a bit of skin, while still feeling covered.  Rather than reveal the traditional cleavage, or bearing the bottom, I chose to offer an alternative and accentuate the curve of the hip, the nip of the waist, the gorgeous ‘V’ of the back.  Within the collection, you will find a piece that flatters every body type.  So whether the woman is busty or full bottomed, she has an option.

The Natives collection also explores the idea of innerwear as outerwear.  Currently, there is a fine line between the two as seen by pop culture celebrities Lady Gaga and Beyonce.  I wanted to play with this concept in swim, offering suits that can be worn as bodysuits at the club, or with a pair of wide leg jeans thrown over, as a daytime look.  It is a return to disco and 80’s glam with a fully modern twist.

Valerie Blanchard is the owner, founder, and head designer of Paradise Bikini. The concept behind Paradise Bikini was to create a bikini that would make a woman stand out from the crowd. Valerie always loved to rhinestone her own bikinis and turned her hobby into an emerging bikini company.
Valerie Blanchard was born and raised in New Jersey. Growing up, her family referred to her as “Sparkle Plenty” because she loved anything that had sparkles on it- from clothes, to jewelry, to Barbie dolls. Throughout her life Valerie maintained an attraction to arts and crafts. Commonly perusing craft stores to purchase embellishments for her clothes, Valerie especially loved working with rhinestones. She began to add rhinestones to her own bikinis and received many compliments. Her friend’s asked her to rhinestone their bikinis, and after numerous rave reviews, Valerie’s friends and family encouraged her to start her own bikini line that specialized in sparkle bikinis.
Val was a teacher in an elementary school, and taught dance after school hours. One of her ballet students came to class one day wearing ballet shoes that the child’s mother made. This struck Valerie’s attention and she asked Ms. Veronica Clark if she would be interested in putting together a bikini with the fabric Valerie gave her. The next day Veronica had completed the bikini, and that night Valerie rhinestoned it. Valerie gained a seamstress over night, and even with a twenty-year age gap between Valerie and Veronica, they instantly clicked and bikinis quickly became their focus. Val has an MBA in Entrepreneurship and a Masters in Communications, and with that background, Paradise Bikini was born. Paradise Bikini has quickly turned into an explosive success

Our beautiful fashion models will also compete for the coveted title of “SPF People’s Choice of Hottest Female and Male model”.

    

      The excitement begins now and continue to build up to show time on Saturday June 11, 2011 at the DANY Studios. We start with a mixer reception and a chance to take media pictures in front of our media step and repeat with the models, designer, store/boutique owners, fashion stylist, make up artist, hair stylist, salons, celebrities, guest and show producers.

      Contestants will then compete within our “Swimwear Passion for Fashion 2011 (SPF)” swimwear designer showcase. Winners will be determined by vote from the audience in attendance thus, the participants are encouraged to bring their friends and Facebook fans out to the show.
